FIRST WEBSITE OF MINE
When I was a little kid, around 8 or 9 years old, I had always been wondering about creating my own website. But due to the fact that I literally had no fund at the time, I didn't even have a chance to purchase a domain. And considering from nowadays' point of view, there wasn't really a point for me to have my own website when I was 9.
On February 23, 2017, I somehow decided to purchase a domain and set up my first own website. Was aiming for qzc.com or zcq.com, but these domains (domains with 3 letters) are manipulated by some domain-selling companies. And oftentimes these domains cost more than $10000 to purchase. Therefore, I chose zcqian.com because it really fits my name.
Plus, the reason why I want to keep this website is that, as I am entering the industrial world, or the world beyond college, I feel the need of showing my progresses on, programming and also showing my art works, if any.
At this point, I want to add some description about myself. Currently, at the moment of writing this text, I am at the second quarter (semester) of my third year in University of California. I am studying Computer Science right now, and therefore I wish to publish some of my programming projects on this website, to kind of show off a little bit, what I can do. Yes, currently I have a few projects that are already done and I wish I can publish them one by one, as soon as I got some spare time, in the "CODE PROJECTS" section of this website.
Besides, I am also very good at doing photoshop stuff, I am not saying that I am able to do a little bit of photoshop. Instead, I mean I literally EXCEL at photoshop. Specifically I am good at digital colorization, which means that I take a black and white photo, then put color layers onto it, turning it to color image. I usually do it as a hobby, and as leisure, really. I just feel rather relaxing when coloring photos. And thus, I wanna publish these photos and the process by which I made them, in the "ART PROJECTS" section of this website.
As of what kind of photos I colorize, I usually select ocean liner pictures, as I am an ocean liner enthusiast, really. Specifically, I am an enthusiast on ocean liners built from 1900 to 1950. (Which includes Olympic class liners, Lusitania class liners and so on.) I also collect items that are Ocean Liner related. I owned the signed limited copy of "Titanic The Ship Magnificent", and also an authentic piece of second-class floor tile on R.M.S. Olympic (which is the exact same one on R.M.S. Titanic and R.M.S. Britannic).
Additionally, my personal interest also includes WWI and WWII history. Specially I can name every battleship and aircraft carrier in Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN), every battleship in United States Navy (USN), and every battleship in British Royal Navy. I wish I can do some colorization on these battleships' photos in the future, also.
